Dhaka:Bangladesh received US$11.465 billion in remittances during the July-October period of the current fiscal year (2026-27), representing a 13 percent increase compared to US$10.149 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the latest data indicates that expatriate Bangladeshis sent home US$2.874 billion in October 2026, which is up 12.1 percent from the US$2.564 billion recorded in October 2025.

The data further showed that the country received US$218 million in remittances during the last three days of October 2026. The sustained growth in remittance inflows reflects a positive trend in overseas earnings sent through formal channels, thereby strengthening the country's foreign exchange inflows.
