Rajshahi:An international conference titled "Sovereignty, Humanity and Law in the Contemporary World" concluded today at Rajshahi University (RU). The event was organized by the Department of Law and took place at the RU Senate Building.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the closing ceremony was attended by Justice Rezaul Haque of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court and RU Vice-Chancellor Professor Faridul Islam as guests of honour.
The ceremony also featured special guests including Chairman of the Labour Law Tribunal Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Hossain, Justice Emdadul Haque Azad of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, full-time member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council Emdadul Haque, and member of the Public Service Commission Professor Muhammad Shahin Chowdhury.
Prof Saida Anju, chairperson of the Department of Law, chaired the event, while Prof Anisur Rahman delivered the welcome address and Prof Mohammad Abdul Hannan gave the vote of thanks.
