Rajshahi:On the occasion of the 52nd founding anniversary of Phulkuri Ashar, a gathering for children, adolescents, and parents was held in Rajshahi Metropolitan, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony for 2026.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the closing ceremony took place at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium, with Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attending as the chief guest to distribute prizes to winners from various competitions.
During his speech, the administrator emphasized the critical role of organizations like Phulkuri Ashar in fostering intellect, thoughtfulness, morality, and creativity among children and adolescents, highlighting their importance for the future. He stressed the need for instilling moral values, patriotism, humanity, and social responsibility in young minds to groom them into ideal citizens.
Riton called for a collective effort from parents, teachers, and social organizations to achieve this goal and expressed hope for Phulkuri Ashar's activities to become more expansive and dynamic in the future.
The event was inaugurated by former Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University, Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib, and attended by special guests including former Vice-Chancellor of International Islamic University, Chittagong Prof Dr. AKM Azharul Islam, and former Chief Director of Phulkuri Ashar Zakaria Habib Pilot.
The program also saw the participation of Phulkuri Ashar Rajshahi Metropolitan Director Aman Ullah, Assistant Director Md. Yusuf Ali, various office-bearers, children, adolescents, and parents.
