Dhaka:Sonali Bank PLC has organized a day-long workshop focusing on cyber security governance, aiming to bolster the bank's cyber security framework. The event saw the participation of the bank's chairman, managing director, and other senior officials.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop, titled 'Top Management Awareness Workshop on Cyber Security Governance,' was held today and included Sonali Bank Chairman Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director Md Shawkat Ali Khan, deputy managing directors, general managers, and IT-related officials. The event was supported by CyberFox Train, an organization specializing in cyber security training and professional skills development.
The workshop covered a range of topics, including cyber security strategies and policies, cyber risk management, protection of information and digital infrastructure, and preparedness to tackle cyberattacks. It also addressed regulatory guidelines and compliance issues, emphasizing the strategic role of top management in ensuring the bank's overall cyber security.
Sonali Bank PLC reiterated its dedication to continuing such initiatives to enhance cyber security awareness, develop professional skills, and strengthen its IT infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable technology-driven financial services within the country's banking sector.
