Gazipur:A garment worker was tragically killed in Gazipur city when a septic tank exploded beneath a rented room in a three-storey building under construction in the Nawjor area on Friday morning.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased has been identified as Sakib, who hailed from Bauphal upazila in Patuakhali. Rajib Hossain, a warehouse inspector at the Gazipur Chowrasta Modern Fire Station, reported that most construction work on the building had been completed, with two rooms constructed directly above the septic tank on the ground floor and rented to garment workers, including Sakib.
The explosion occurred suddenly on Friday morning, resulting in Sakib's immediate death. The blast caused significant damage to the doors and windows of the rooms. Although two other individuals sustained injuries in the incident, local residents were unable to provide additional details about their condition.
