Munich:Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl announced that coach Vincent Kompany has been released from the hospital after suffering from meningeal irritation. The Belgian coach was hospitalized after collapsing on the training pitch in Munich last Friday, initially believed to be due to a virus.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, doctors have identified meningeal irritation as the cause of Kompany's condition, leading to his hospital discharge. Eberl shared this update minutes before Bayern's German Cup match against Magdeburg.

Kompany is expected to be away from the dugout for "weeks, not days," with English assistant coach Aaron Danks stepping in during his absence. Kompany is now at home, continuing his rehabilitation, which involves rest and medication. Eberl expressed confidence in Kompany's full recovery and return to coaching soon.

During a recent match against Freiburg, Danks mentioned that the coaching staff would refrain from discussing football with Kompany during his recovery period. Prior to his hospitalization, Kompany had shown signs of illness, including walking with a limp during a match against RB Leipzig and participating in a game against Arsenal before collapsing at training.
