Mymensingh:Police recovered the body of a freedom fighter hanging from a tree inside a bamboo grove near his residence in Dhobaura upazila of Mymensingh on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Sheikh Hossain Ali, alias Hossain, a resident of the Darsha Mantani area in the upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, residents spotted the body hanging from a tree early in the morning and alerted the authorities. Police subsequently recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge Shafiqul Islam of Dhobaura Police Station stated that preliminary findings indicate the deceased had family disputes with his sons, despite the family's financial stability. He added that it remains uncertain whether the incident is a murder or suicide, emphasizing that the exact cause of death will be determined following the autopsy report. Legal procedures regarding the matter are underway.
