Dhaka:Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced plans to enhance security at metro rail stations by installing archways, metal detectors, and luggage scanners. This initiative aims to ensure passenger safety, as confirmed by an official familiar with the process.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMTCL's General Manager (Store and Procurement), Mohammad Asaduzzaman, has issued an online tender on October 19 for the procurement of the necessary equipment. Eligible firms are invited to submit e-tenders through the National e-Government Procurement (e-GP) Portal.
The notification also provides further information and guidelines, which are accessible on the National e-GP Portal and through the e-GP help desk at [email protected]. Additionally, the tender notice includes details for an annual maintenance contract covering various systems at the MRT Line-6 depot.
Tender documents will be available for purchase from 200 pm to 300 pm on November 11, 2026.
