Dinajpur:A day-long job fair is scheduled to take place at Birampur Degree College ground in Dinajpur on October 27. The initiative, led by Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, aims to create employment opportunities for educated unemployed youths in rural areas.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event will feature participation from around 70 renowned and leading companies from across the country. Job seekers will have the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of recruiting organizations and learn about various employment opportunities. This initiative has generated enthusiasm among local young people.
Birampur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mst Tanzina Khatun confirmed the event and highlighted its main objective to create employment opportunities for educated unemployed young men and women at the grassroots level, connecting local talents with nationally recognized organizations. Job seekers will be able to speak directly with representatives, obtain recruitment-related information, and apply for jobs at the fair.
The job fair is organized at the initiative of Dinajpur-6 lawmaker and Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, who emphasized expanding employment opportunities for young people outside major cities. The minister visited the college ground to inspect arrangements for stalls, security, and access for job seekers and visitors, providing directives to officials for a smooth organization.
Local dignitaries believe the fair could open new prospects for educated unemployed youths, allowing them to learn about job opportunities and communicate with recruiters locally. The initiative is expected to reduce travel expenses and inconvenience associated with job searches in distant places while creating local employment prospects.
Birampur Upazila BNP unit President Mian Md. Shafiqul Alam Mamun noted that the participation of around 70 organizations is expected to create significant opportunities for local job seekers. The upazila-level BNP has made all necessary preparations to ensure the successful completion of the event.
