Chattogram:Nearly 175,000 tonnes of US wheat have arrived in Chattogram, marking a significant portion of Bangladesh's recent purchase of 220,000 metric tonnes. This shipment plays a crucial role in supporting the country's food security and enhancing trade relations between the United States and Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the US Embassy in Dhaka announced this development through a social media post, highlighting the quality and nutritional value of the American wheat. The embassy emphasized that the wheat supports Bangladesh's food security while strengthening the trade partnership between the two nations.
The arrival of this wheat shipment constitutes approximately 80 percent of the entire purchase, underscoring its importance in meeting Bangladesh's food supply needs.
