Manikganj:Food Minister Afroza Khanam visited 12 Durga Puja mandaps in Manikganj Sadar upazila, where she exchanged Sharadiya greetings with members of the Hindu community.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister provided financial grants to each of the Puja mandaps and temples. She also assured the community that their local issues and demands would be addressed gradually.
During her visits, Minister Khanam inspected the festival arrangements and security measures, expressing her satisfaction. She emphasized the importance of maintaining communal harmony and called for collective efforts to accelerate the area's development.
The minister also highlighted various initiatives taken by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for the welfare of the Hindu community. Local BNP leaders, activists, and leaders of the Sanatan community were present during her visit.
