Accra:The Office of the Registrar General, Birth and Death Registration, has announced a temporary suspension of services for birth and death registration due to scheduled maintenance of the Birth and Death Registration Information System (BDRIS) software. This suspension will last for seven days.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the maintenance period will begin at 600 am on October 19 and continue until 600 am on October 25. During this time, all activities related to birth and death registration will be halted.
A notice detailing this suspension was issued on October 19, signed by Assistant Registrar General Md Mehedi Hasan. The notice has been distributed to relevant offices, including city corporations, deputy commissioners, upazila nirbahi officers, municipalities, cantonment boards, and all registration offices nationwide.
