Brahmanbaria:The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has recommended in-principle approval for the development of Kokil Textile Mills Limited in Brahmanbaria under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. This decision was made during the committee's 34th meeting of the year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the proposal was submitted by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, with the Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC) set to act as the implementing agency. The initiative aims to infuse private sector investment and expertise into the state-owned industrial facility.
This in-principle recommendation enables the authorities to proceed with the necessary steps to develop the project within the PPP framework. The project is part of a broader effort to involve private sector participation in the development and operation of industrial assets managed by the BTMC.
