Dhaka:Dhaka-6 lawmaker Ishraque Hossain has resigned from his role as the State Minister for Liberation War Affairs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ishraque announced his resignation at a press conference held at the National Press Club. He stated that his decision was made voluntarily to prevent any discomfort for the Prime Minister or the BNP.
Ishraque mentioned that he communicated his intention to resign with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Even after leaving his ministerial position, Ishraque expressed his commitment to continue participating in anti-drug initiatives as a BNP activist.
