Accra:Jahangirnagar University Geography and Environment Professor Dr. Nahreen Islam Khan of Jahangirnagar University has been appointed as a member of the university's Syndicate, the institution's highest decision-making body, for a term of two years.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the nomination was confirmed under Sections 22(1)(G) and 22(3) of the Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973, with approval from the President and Chancellor. This decision was outlined in an order signed by Assistant Secretary Md Sultan Ahmed of the Education Ministry.
The order also revoked the previous nomination of Botany Professor Dr. Saleh Ahammad Khan, which was issued on June 23, 2025.
