Tunis:The 27th founding anniversary of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) will be observed with a series of events. A special programme is set to begin at 500 pm at the Shaheed Abu Sayeed International Convention Centre in the capital, where Prime Minister and ZRF President Tarique Rahman will attend as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, ZRF Vice President Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Acting Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, and ZRF Executive Director Professor Dr. Farhad Halim Donar will be present as special guests. Participants can take their seats from 330 pm, with entry being restricted after 500 pm.
The foundation has also organized a prayer session at the graves of BNP founder Chairman Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at 930 am on October 18. Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi will attend this programme as the chief guest. The foundation has requested the attendance of its Board of Directors, monitors, coordinators, life members, and others at the Zia Udyan location for the grave-visiting event.
Established on October 18, 1999, by BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Ziaur Rahman Foundation aims to preserve the memory of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. Over the years, it has gained recognition and a strong reputation for its humanitarian work across the country.
