Khulna:A total of 233 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in the Khulna division over the past 24 hours, increasing the number of cases this year to 17,689.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 197 of the newly admitted patients were taken to government hospitals, while 36 were admitted to private hospitals. Additionally, one more death due to dengue was reported, bringing the total number of fatalities in the division to 66 this year.
Since the beginning of the year, 17,689 people in Khulna have been infected with dengue. Of these, 16,215 have recovered, while 998 are still receiving treatment in various hospitals. Khulna district has seen the highest number of cases in the division, with 6,803 patients identified. Khulna Medical College Hospital has reported 3,316 of these cases.
