Chapainawabganj:Special Response Battalion (SRB) has recovered 92 cocktails, 11.8 kg of a gunpowder-like substance, two hasuas, and various materials for making explosives from a mango orchard in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation was conducted by SRB's CPC-1, Chapainawabganj, with support from the bomb disposal team of SRB-5, Rajshahi. It took place at a mango orchard in East Tikra village of Maharajpur Union in Sadar Upazila at 205 am today.
During the operation, no suspects were found at the scene or in the surrounding areas, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far. The SRB suspects that miscreants had stored the materials with intentions to create sabotage in different parts of the country.
The recovered materials have been handed over to Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
