Rajshahi:Indian Assistant High Commissioner Manoj Kumar has advised visa applicants to avoid using brokers, warning that this could lead to harassment and complications during the visa application process.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kumar urged applicants to follow the prescribed procedures and apply for visas independently. He emphasized that by preparing necessary documents correctly and completing the application process on time, applicants can minimize the risk of unnecessary difficulties.

After visiting the Indian Visa Center at Barnali Mor in Rajshahi city, Kumar spoke with visa applicants, addressing their concerns and assessing the service environment. He regularly inspects the visa center to ensure smooth operations and to identify any challenges faced by applicants.

During his inspection, Kumar noted that while no specific issues were observed, effective crowd management is essential to handle the influx of applicants efficiently. He stressed the importance of monitoring the situation consistently to prevent unnecessary suffering for those seeking services.

Kumar highlighted that the Indian High Commission in Dhaka also issues warnings on social media to caution against relying on brokers. He advised applicants to book their slots independently and prepare documents accurately to avoid complications.

He further pointed out the potential for brokers to exploit applicants' vulnerabilities, leading to document-related issues. Emphasizing the need for a supportive service environment, Kumar called for improved crowd management and reduced dependence on brokers to alleviate applicants' challenges.
