Dhaka:State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku has stated that the BNP does not endorse a minority-majority concept, emphasizing the shared identity of all citizens as Bangladeshis. He made these remarks at a meeting focused on security measures for the Durga Puja mandaps and law and order ahead of the 2026 Sharadiya Durga Puja celebrations, held at the Abdul Wasek Auditorium of Nawabganj Upazila Parishad.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tuku assured that the BNP places significant importance on Durga Puja and will extend comprehensive support to ensure the Hindu community can celebrate peacefully. Security committees have already been established for each puja mandap to safeguard the festivities.
