Accra:The Supreme Court Helpline has received a total of 7,328 calls from both domestic and international sources between January 1 and September 30, 2026. These calls were primarily for legal advice, case-related information, and to lodge complaints.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the month of September alone saw 774 calls. Among these, 111 were for legal consultation and 184 for case details, with the requested information being provided immediately by the SC Helpline Monitoring Cell.
However, 380 calls to the helpline number '103' in September went unanswered due to non-response from callers. Additionally, 20 complaints were filed regarding issues such as irregularities, negligence of duty, delayed service, and misconduct within the Supreme Court and district courts. Of these complaints, 14 were resolved, while legal steps were initiated for the remaining six.
Further, 79 calls in September requested administrative action against officials and employees of various state ministries, departments, and branches. Since these issues were outside the Supreme Court's jurisdiction, the helpline officers provided advisory guidance on the appropriate action.
The Supreme Court Helpline Centre, established on December 11, 2025, under the direction of the Chief Justice, offers assistance via phone and WhatsApp at 01316-154216 and 01795-373680, along with online services through helpline number 103.
