Rajshahi:The Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has announced plans to establish a foreign language centre, acting on directives from the University Grants Commission (UGC).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the centre will initially provide courses in German and Japanese. This decision was reached during the university's 115th emergency syndicate meeting, which took place in the Vice-Chancellor's conference room on Saturday.
The meeting was chaired by RUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr S M Abdur Razzak. The initiative aims to improve students' foreign language skills and broaden their prospects in the international job market.
