Netrokona:Two young brothers died after being electrocuted while playing near their home in Kendua upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred around 9 am when Muaz, 7, and Arafat, 6, were playing beside their house in Kawalikanda village under Paikura Union. One of the boys accidentally touched a live electric wire, leading to his electrocution. The other brother was also electrocuted while trying to rescue him.
Their parents, who were working in a nearby cowshed, heard the children screaming and rushed to the scene, finding both boys unconscious. They promptly took them to Kendua Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared the children dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Kendua Police Station, Mohammad Tarikul Islam, confirmed the incident. He stated that the bodies were handed over to the family following the completion of necessary legal procedures.
