Dhaka:Four more individuals have succumbed to dengue, with 1,631 new patients admitted to hospitals across the country within the 24-hour period ending at 800 am on Saturday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the recent deaths bring the total number of fatalities due to dengue to 299 this year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The deaths were recorded in the Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram, and Khulna divisions.
Currently, there are 5,776 dengue patients receiving treatment in various hospitals nationwide. Since the start of the year, hospitals have admitted a total of 97,082 dengue patients, of which 91,007 have recovered.
