Rajshahi:Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has decided to establish a separate foreign language centre.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the decision was made during the 115th emergency syndicate meeting, which took place in the conference room of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) and was presided over by VC Professor Dr. S M Abdur Razzak.
The meeting saw the participation of several key figures, including Pro-VC Prof Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Prof Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman. Director of Student Welfare Prof Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam Sarker, In-Charge of ICT Cell Prof Dr. Md. Samiul Habib, Director of Planning and Development Prof Dr. HM Rasel, Prof of Chemistry Department Dr. Md. Abbas Ali, Acting Registrar Arif Ahmed Chowdhury, and other syndicate members were also present.
Aside from the decision to launch the foreign language centre, the meeting focused on various initiatives aimed at enhancing academic activities at RUET.
