Dhaka:The government has appointed Gias Uddin as the Prime Minister's Special Assistant with the rank of secretary on a contractual basis. He will oversee the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism as well as the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification regarding this appointment on Thursday. The notification specified that Gias Uddin must relinquish any other professional, business, or employment commitments with any government, semi-government, or private institution.
His appointment as special assistant will remain effective from the date he joins until the end of the Prime Minister's tenure or until the Prime Minister decides otherwise, whichever comes first. The terms and conditions of his appointment will be further defined in the contract.
