Man Accused in Murder Case Arrested at Darshana Checkpost

Chuadanga:Immigration police arrested a man accused in a murder case as he attempted to leave the country through the Darshana Immigration Checkpost on Friday afternoon.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the accused, Md Mahbub Alam, 49, was subject to a travel ban. Sub-Inspector Tuhin Mia, in charge of Darshana Immigration Police, confirmed the arrest.

Mahbub Alam, the son of Ansar Sheikh from the Jugia Dargapara area in Kushtia Sadar upazila, is a ward-level Awami League leader. His travel was restricted due to a murder case filed with the Kushtia Sadar Police Station.
