Gopalganj:Fortis Football Club achieved a resounding 6-0 victory over Brothers Union Club in the Bangladesh Football League at the Gopalganj district stadium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the match remained goalless in the first half before Fortis took control. Forward Mohammad Ibrahim scored the opening goal in the 56th minute, followed by midfielder Insan Hossain's goal in the 67th minute to make it 2-0.
Gambian forward Pa Babou extended Fortis's lead to 3-0 in the 75th minute and further increased it to 4-0 with another goal in the 81st minute. Nigerian forward Stephen Chukwude netted the fifth goal in the 83rd minute, while Rafayel Tudu finished the scoring with a sixth goal during stoppage time.
Earlier in the league, Fortis drew 3-3 with City Club in their opening match and defeated Chattogram City Football Club 6-0 in their second match. Meanwhile, Brothers Union had previously drawn 1-1 with PWD Sports Club and suffered a 3-0 loss to City Club.
