Khulna:Police apprehended a man allegedly involved in criminal activities, seizing a foreign-made pistol and two rounds of ammunition during a special operation in Rupsha upazila early Friday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the detained individual, Raju Moral, was captured at his residence in Ramnagar village around 5 a.m. Raju, the son of Imran Ali Moral, had reportedly been associated with a criminal gang in the area and had evaded capture for an extended period. He returned to his home on Thursday night, which led police to conduct a raid following a tip-off.
Khulna Superintendent of Police Sarker Omar Faruk mentioned that Raju was a suspect in the murder case of Mamun Mir. Additionally, he was identified as an active member of a criminal gang allegedly led by the notorious Grenade Babu, head of the infamous 'B' Company.
