Freshers’ Reception Held for Class XI Students at Carmichael College

Rangpur:A colorful freshers' reception was organized for students admitted to Class XI for the 2026-27 academic session at the historic Carmichael College, Rangpur on Thursday. The event saw participation from several notable figures in the academic community.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was graced by the presence of the Principal of Carmichael College, Professor Dr. Md Abul Hossain Mondal, who attended as the chief guest. Former Principal of Rangpur Government College and Rajshahi College, Professor Dr. K M Jalal Uddin Akbar, was present as the honored guest. Vice-Principal of Carmichael College, Professor Md Habibur Rahman, and Secretary of the Carmichael College Teachers' Council, Professor Morshed Ahmed Khan, attended as special guests.

During the event, Principal Professor Dr. Md Abul Hossain Mondal expressed that the Class XI students were warmly welcomed to Carmichael College. He urged the new students to utilize their time effectively and emphasized their responsibility in upholding the long-standing tradition and reputation of the college. He highlighted the importance of shaping themselves not only through academic excellence but also through knowledge, morality, and human values.

Honored guest Professor Dr. K M Jalal Uddin Akbar remarked on the significance of student life as a critical period for future development. He stressed the importance of regular study, discipline, and positive thinking for students to prepare themselves for the future.

Vice-Principal Professor Md Habibur Rahman welcomed the new students, pointing out that the college has extensive plans in place for their development. He advised them to make the most of their time at the higher secondary level to achieve their goals, noting that Carmichael College offers an excellent educational environment conducive to nurturing intellect and talents.

Md Jahangir Alam, Chairperson of the Class XI Admission Committee for the 2026-27 academic session, presided over the event, which was attended by college teachers, new students, and other concerned individuals.
