Bangladesh Secures Victory Over Uzbekistan in U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifier

Tashkent:Bangladesh triumphed over Uzbekistan with a 2-1 win in their opening Group H match of the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers at the Do'stlik Sports Complex on Thursday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the match was tied 1-1 at halftime. Mst Almina put Bangladesh ahead early with a goal in the fourth minute. However, Uzbekistan equalized in the 17th minute with a goal from Farangiz Lakaeva.

Runa Akter scored the decisive goal in the third minute of stoppage time, securing a dramatic victory for Bangladesh. Bangladesh's next match is against the Philippines on Sunday at the same venue, where the outcome will decide which team advances to the final round.
