Dhaka:State Minister for Road Transport and Highways Division and Railways Ministry, Habibur Rashid Habib, MP, emphasized the government's commitment to improving healthcare services for low-income families by enhancing the capacity of Mugda Medical College and Hospital (MMCH).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Habib addressed a function at the hospital, highlighting the urgency of making government hospitals more effective, particularly in the densely populated areas of Mugda-Basabo. The lawmaker pointed out that poor people in Mugda, Basabo, and Sabujbagh heavily rely on government healthcare facilities.
Habib stressed the importance of boosting the hospital's capacity and improving its infrastructure to provide timely and quality care. He called on private organizations and social groups to support government efforts in enhancing healthcare services and infrastructure.
During the program, Habib handed over a microbus and a pickup, donated by a private organization, to the hospital. He also inaugurated a collection booth and an electronics booth, which aim to enhance patient services at MMCH.
The state minister expressed gratitude to the private organization for its contribution and hoped for continued cooperation to further improve the quality of services at government hospitals. He emphasized that modernizing and making hospitals more people-friendly is crucial for ensuring healthcare access for all.
