Panchagarh:Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) successfully prevented an attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push seven people into Bangladesh through the Malkadanga border in Boda upazila on Tuesday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the group, consisting of six men and one woman, was seen attempting to cross into Bangladesh but was stopped by BGB personnel stationed at the Malkadanga border.
After facing resistance from the BGB during their attempted entry on Tuesday morning, the group lingered near the border throughout the day. That night, they eventually returned to Indian territory as BGB heightened its vigilance.
Lt Col Sarkar Asif Mahmud, commander of the Nilphamari-56 BGB Battalion, stated that the BGB maintains a strict stance against smuggling, illegal border crossings, push-ins, and other border-related crimes.
