RCC Administrator Dedicates Registration Honor to Rajshahi Residents

Rajshahi:RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton dedicated the honor received by the corporation for accurate birth and death registration to the residents of Rajshahi city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made during a stakeholders' gathering at the City Hall Room of Nagar Bhaban to celebrate the RCC's achievement. During the program, officers and employees of the city corporation greeted the administrator with flowers, and the honor's crest and certificate were unveiled.

Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, speaking as the chief guest, emphasized the responsibility and sincerity with which RCC officers and employees serve the citizens. He highlighted that the recognition for ensuring accurate registrations is a significant accomplishment for the corporation, motivating officials and employees to dedicate themselves further.

He assured that efforts to make civic services more accessible, quicker, and efficient would continue. Additionally, he acknowledged former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's initiative in 2004 to include the mother's name alongside the father's in birth and death registrations.

The program was presided over by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, with Chief Health Officer Dr. F.A.M. Anjuman Ara Begum delivering the welcome address. The event was attended by RCC councillors, health department officials and employees, team leaders, health assistants, journalists, and other concerned individuals.
