According to United News of Bangladesh, the German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, met with the State Minister to discuss mutual interests. The Ambassador congratulated the State Minister on his new role and expressed optimism about further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
The discussions encompassed various bilateral, regional, and global issues. Both parties reiterated their commitment to broadening the Bangladesh-EU partnership and enhancing collaboration in international forums.
Ambassador Lotz emphasized Germany's dedication to deepening ties, focusing on finalizing a Bangladesh-EU Free Trade Agreement, expanding cooperation in the aviation sector, and increasing trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. He also noted the stable post-election environment in Bangladesh, which has attracted growing interest from German businesses.
The meeting was described as cordial, with both sides confident that ongoing high-level engagement would continue to bolster the Bangladesh-Germany partnership.
