Dhaka:BNP acting secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Fazlul Haque Nayan, who was the current president of Moktarpara Union BNP and a former vice-president of Gazipur's Kaliganj Thana BNP.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fazlul Haque passed away this noon while undergoing treatment at Uttara Crescent Hospital in the capital.
In a condolence message, Rizvi stated that Nayan had deep faith in the principles and ideals of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam, and the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism. Nayan played a significant role in strengthening and energizing Kaliganj Thana and Moktarpara Union BNP.
Rizvi also noted that under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister, late Begum Khaleda Zia, known as the 'Mother of Democracy,' Nayan actively participated in movements and struggles aimed at establishing democratic rights for the people.
The acting secretary general of BNP prayed for the eternal peace of Fazlul Haque Nayan's departed soul and conveyed his deepest condolences to Nayan's bereaved family, admirers, and well-wishers.
