Bandarban:A two-day special medical camp has commenced at Rajar Math, aimed at providing healthcare services to the underprivileged and distressed people in the hill district.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the programme is organized by the Bangladesh Army's 69 Infantry Brigade and Bandarban Region, having been inaugurated in the district town on Monday morning.

Specialist physicians from various departments, such as medicine, ophthalmology, gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT), are offering treatment to the patients. Additionally, necessary medicines are being distributed free of cost based on the doctors' prescriptions.

Army officials have noted that the Bangladesh Army is committed not only to ensuring the security of different ethnic communities in the hill district but also to enhancing their quality of life and protecting their health. They believe that such medical assistance programmes will help raise health awareness among marginalised communities and enable them to receive necessary treatment and medicines.

A significant number of people from these communities in Bandarban are benefiting from the medical treatment and free medicines provided under this initiative.
