Kishoreganj:Two young cousins tragically drowned in a pond at Anowarkhali village in Pakundia upazila, Kishoreganj district, on Saturday morning.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the victims were identified as Nusaiba, aged 2, daughter of Siddique Hossain, and Adiba, aged 3, daughter of Mariam.
Locals reported that the incident occurred when Nusaiba and Adiba accidentally fell into a nearby pond while playing close to their home around 9 a.m. Family members discovered the children and rushed them to Pakundia Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced them dead, as confirmed by Md Tawhid, the residential medical officer of the health complex.
