Cox's Bazar:A fugitive convict serving a life sentence in a drug-related case was apprehended by two Special Reserve Battalion units, SRB-7 and SRB-15, at Laboni Beach.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest occurred around 1215 AM on Friday when the units, acting on a tip-off, conducted a raid in the area and detained Md. Mohiuddin Sharif, 25.
Sharif, the son of the late Nader (alias Rafiq) from the Mohora area under Chandgaon Police Station, was confirmed to be the individual arrested. Following his capture, he was handed over to Cox's Bazar Sadar Police, as confirmed by Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Superintendent of Police and Assistant Director (Media) of SRB-7.
