Dengue Cases Surge in Bangladesh, Six Deaths Reported

Amman:Health officials reported a surge in dengue cases, with 1,608 new infections and six deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) detailed the distribution of hospitalizations 215 in Barishal division, 319 in Chattogram division, 131 in Dhaka division, 223 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 171 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 276 in Khulna division, 79 in Mymensingh division, 132 in Rajshahi division, and 62 in Rangpur division.

This year, Bangladesh has faced 256 deaths from dengue and 84,369 reported cases. In comparison, last year saw 413 deaths with 102,861 cases, while in 2024, there were 575 deaths and 101,214 cases.
