Paba:Speakers at a discussion meeting emphasized the necessity of adopting new and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and drive the country's economic growth. The meeting, held at the conference room of Paba Upazila Parishad, was part of National Productivity Day.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, MP, attended the event as the chief guest, while Paba Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ibnul Abedin presided over the meeting. They highlighted the increasing demand for essential goods and services, such as food, clothing, housing, healthcare, and education, and stressed the importance of improving productivity and raising awareness across all sectors to meet these demands.
Milon addressed the need for state reforms, targeting sectors such as education, health, industry, and agriculture, which were affected during the previous Awami League government. He assured that a 31-point outline for state reform would be implemented, ensuring the independence of the judiciary and that justice would be served for those involved in misdeeds related to 'Aynaghar'.
UNO Ibnul Abedin reiterated that boosting productivity is crucial for the country's development and economic progress. He called for increased use of modern technology in agriculture, industry, and services, alongside skill and efficiency enhancement, to foster a prosperous and developed Bangladesh through coordinated government and private sector efforts and active public participation.
The meeting also featured contributions from district BNP member and former Nowhata Municipality mayor Sheikh Mokbul Hossain, Upazila BNP convener Ali Hossain, Nowhata Municipal BNP president Rafiqul Islam Rafique, and Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Abdul Latif. Upazila Rural Development Officer Shamsunnahar moderated the event, which was attended by leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations, as well as entrepreneurs from various sectors.
