Minister Muktadir Emphasizes Innovation and Talent for Boosting Productivity

Mirpur:Industries, Commerce, and Textiles and Jute Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir highlighted the importance of innovative thinking and talent development as key factors in enhancing productivity.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister spoke on this topic while serving as the chief guest at an innovation exhibition and a discussion and prize-giving ceremony for National Productivity Day 2026 at BCIC College in Mirpur. The event was chaired by Director General of the National Productivity Organization Md Naieb Ali and included speeches from Industries Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, BCIC College Principal Colonel Dr Md Moksed Ali, as well as guardians and students.

Muktadir outlined that productivity is a continuous process aimed at achieving greater output of better quality in fewer working hours. He described productivity as a cultural element that, when embraced, leads to continuous progress. The minister praised the innovative ideas and creativity displayed by the college students at the exhibition, noting that while many ideas were not yet realized as tangible products, they could become significant foundations for future innovations.

He assured that those recognized for their innovative ideas would be invited for further discussions to assess their commercial viability and potential as startups. The government intends to support young innovators in turning their ideas into practical solutions, with an assurance of backing from government and relevant institutions.

Additionally, Muktadir promised the necessary support to transform BCIC College into a modern educational institution, with initiatives for essential facilities such as modern technology, CCTV cameras, and projectors. Concluding the event, the minister awarded prizes to students excelling in various categories at the exhibition and toured the stalls showcasing their work.
