Farmers in Khulna Receive Financial Support and Inputs

Khulna:A total of 1,492 farmers in three wards of Amirpur Union were provided with farmers' cards as part of a government initiative designed to offer financial support and other agricultural services.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the nationwide farmers' card distribution program through a virtual ceremony this afternoon. The event, which included the distribution of agricultural inputs, took place at the Batiaghata Upazila Parishad auditorium.

The ceremony was attended by Khulna-1 lawmaker Amir Ejaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Hoore Jannat, Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Md Nazrul Islam, District Training Officer Mahadev Chandra Sana, Upazila BNP Convener Ejazur Rahman Shamim, and BNP leader Khalrul Islam Khan Jony, alongside officials from various government departments, farmers, and leaders of the ruling party BNP.

Farmers who attended expressed their happiness upon receiving instant messages confirming the deposit of Tk 2,500 in benefits. Sirajul Islam, Mahmud Hasan, and Monir Sheikh from Kharabad village under Amirpur Union noted that this assistance would allow them to continue farming with increased confidence.
