Dengue Cases Rise in Chapainawabganj, Resulting in Two Deaths

Chapainawabganj:Dengue cases have surged in Chapainawabganj, with 43 more patients admitted to the 250-bed District Hospital in the past 24 hours. A woman and a child have died while receiving treatment.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased have been identified as Ferdousi Khatun, aged 30, from Shibtala Chandlai area, and Mahabbat Ali, 13, from the Arambagh area. Hospital authorities confirmed that Ferdousi tested positive for dengue, whereas Mahabbat, despite exhibiting several symptoms, had not undergone a dengue test.

The deaths occurred early Wednesday morning, between 400 am and 430 am. Ferdousi was admitted around 1100 am on Tuesday and later confirmed to have dengue. Mahabbat was brought in with high fever and body aches around 1100 pm the same day.

Hospital officials report that the current number of dengue patients receiving treatment has risen to over 100, highlighting the increasing burden of the disease in the area.
