Dhaka:President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called upon Bangladeshi businesses and entrepreneurs to explore the significant opportunities available in Saudi Arabia. These opportunities particularly pertain to the export of skilled manpower, as well as developments in healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
According to United News of Bangladesh, this appeal was made during a meeting at Bangabhaban on Monday afternoon when a seven-member delegation from the Saudi Arabia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by President Ashraful Haque Chowdhury, paid a courtesy visit to the president.
The delegation informed President Alamgir about the prospects for Bangladeshi businesses and entrepreneurs linked to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. They discussed the development and economic activities, infrastructure projects, and the rising demand for skilled manpower due to major events like the World Expo and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
President Alamgir advised the delegation to leverage these vast opportunities and assured them of his full support. The delegation mentioned ongoing efforts by businesspeople and entrepreneurs to promote Bangladeshi products and services in five major Saudi cities, highlighting the engagement of skilled manpower trained in technical and technological fields.
The group also aims to enhance Bangladesh's image and establish its brand in Saudi Arabia. They extended an invitation to President Alamgir to attend as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of an upcoming international seminar in Dhaka, which will feature prominent Saudi investors, entrepreneurs, and businesspeople. The president confirmed his attendance at the event.
Chamber Vice-President Sheikh Nasir Uddin and directors Priti Chakraborty, Md Jannatul Ferdous, ABM Siddiq, Md Sajjad-Un-Newaz, Zahirul Mahmud Mamun, and Shamsul Alam Liton were in attendance, along with the president's Military Secretary, Secretary, and Press Secretary.
