Labu:Labu@Rasah The Community Communications Department (J-KOM) has rolled out a new hybrid module for the MADANI Kita program, designed to equally involve government agencies and local leaders, ensuring direct community participation in organizing the events.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, J-KOM Director-General Mohd Hisyamuddin Ghazali explained that the initiative marks a shift from previous programs dominated by government agencies, aiming instead for greater involvement from local leaders and the community. The hybrid model includes 50% participation from agencies and 50% from local leaders as joint co-organizers.
This approach allows J-KOM programs to operate closer to the community by offering direct services from various government agencies. It is also intended to enhance two-way communication, enabling J-KOM to gather feedback and address community issues with national leaders and relevant ministries.
At a recent MADANI Kita program held at the Desa Cempaka Community Hall, 33 federal agencies participated, providing services and organizing activities such as the Rahmah Sale, free motorcycle engine oil changes, haircuts, sapling distribution, and safety helmet exchanges. The event attracted over 3,000 visitors, surpassing the initial target of 1,000.
Visitor Nazreen Ahmad, 36, expressed hope for the continuation of such programs, particularly praising the MADANI Sale for offering goods at reduced prices. Meanwhile, housewife Norrisah Ahmat, 68, appreciated the convenience of accessing government services locally, as she registered for welfare assistance through e-Kasih at the event.
