Kurigram:The Special Response Battalion (SRB-13) apprehended two alleged drug dealers with 4.30 kg of ganja from Taluk Shimulbari village under Phulbari police station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team from SRB-13's Crime Prevention Specialised Company in Rangpur conducted an anti-drug operation based on a tip-off. The operation involved searching a house in the village where they seized the contraband ganja and arrested the two suspects at 4:25 am.
The arrested individuals were identified as Md Aminul Islam, 42, of Taluk Shimulbari village, and Md Abdur Halim alias Al Amin, 37, of Kurushaferusha village, both under the same police station in Kurigram district.
Following their arrest, a case was filed against them, and the elite force handed over the detainees and the seized drugs to Phulbari police station.
