Rangpur:To accelerate economic progress in the region, private sector investors and entrepreneurs are urged to collaborate with government initiatives to tap into the immense tourism potential of the Rangpur area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this call to action was made during a post-rally discussion held in observance of World Tourism Day 2026. The event was organized by the district administration in association with Rangpur Parjatan Motel and took place at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room.
The day began with a vibrant rally from the Rangpur Deputy Commissioner's office, featuring students, youths, and government officials. The discussion was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Israt Jahan, who emphasized the extensive efforts by the government to enhance the tourism industry and strengthen the national economy.
Speakers at the event, including Md Tanvirul Islam from the Department of Archaeology, Rangpur, and other key figures in the tourism sector, discussed Rangpur's rich historical sites, archaeological relics, and picturesque attractions. They highlighted the need for greater private sector involvement to fully realize the region's tourism potential and attract both domestic and international visitors.
