Jakarta:Farhan Ali Wahed is poised to make his debut for Bangladesh in the ASEAN Cup, and the 19-year-old winger, who was born in England, is eager to make a significant contribution alongside fellow player Hamza Chowdhury.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Farhan is one of three players in the team who were born outside of Bangladesh, selected by coach Thomas Duli for the tournament. The Bangladesh squad is currently preparing in Jakarta for their opening match.
Farhan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he has received from his new teammates. In a video shared on the Bangladesh Football Federation's Facebook page, he mentioned that the team has made him feel at home, offering support and encouragement. Farhan has also been gaining experience in English football, joining Boreham Wood on loan from Fulham for the 2026-27 season.
