Dhaka: Police arrested Sohrab Hossain, general secretary of the Sharsha upazila unit of Jubo League in Jashore district, from the capital's Hatirjheel area on Saturday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Officer-in-Charge of Sharsha Police Station Shaminul Haque stated that a team conducted a drive in the Hatirjheel area around 9:00pm based on secret information and arrested Sohrab.
Following the arrest, Hatirjheel Police Station notified Sharsha police. Police said legal proceedings against the arrested are currently underway.
